This is 10″ Historical Sirupate Khukuri | Outdoor Bushcraft Kukri. “Bishwakarmas” (Born khukuri makers) forged this piece of art using the top quality materials in a very traditional way with traditional tools at our khukuri house. Since this is a handcrafted khukuri each one might have slight variations in size. The 10-inch unpolished blade is made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel with a 6-inch handle made from rosewood. We have balance water tempered the edge of the blade to make it very strong. For the handle we have two pieces of rosewood and two pieces of animal bones glued together with traditional Nepali glue called “Laha”. The blade runs throughout the handle where the handle is attached to the blade by metal rivets making the it super strong. This is also called a fixed blade khukuri with a full tang handle.

The overall length of this khukuri is 17-inch long & the thickness of the spine is about 8mm. It weighs about 650 grams with only the blade and 870 grams along with the scabbard. We have a scabbard that matches the handle of the khukuri. It is made from pinewood wrapped in raw water buffalo leather and dyed brown natural water buffalo leather. We have rubbed (scrubbed) the raw water buffalo leather to make it look white and appealing. The scabbard comes with two small utility knives called Karda (Sharp) and Chakmak (blunt). Chakmak which is a blunt steel knife is used for sharpening the blade or striking a spark with a flint. The other little sharp knife is called karda which is used for skinning small animals such as rabbits and other small tasks. There are two small pockets in the scabbard that hold these two small utility knives.
